Well first, a thank you is in order for signing up for our platform! We really do hope you like what you see here! We'd like to use this article to walk you through the full process of uploading and publishing your first piece of content.
Add Your First Narrative
To begin creating your first narrative on the EEVO system, simply click on the green "Add Narrative" button on the landing area of the dashboard. Enter in the name of the narrative and a description that will display to your users.
Upload Thumbnail and Assets
From there, upload the thumbnail image that will serve as the poster of the narrative to your users on your application. Note that thumbnails are typically displayed in a 16x9 aspect ratio and will perform best when sizes are kept relatively small, preferably around 500Kb.
Next, you are going to want to upload your video and audio assets to our system. Click on the "Assets" tab to navigate to the Manage Assets menu, then click the green "Add Asset" button in order to upload each asset.
Before you compose, be sure to check and make sure our system has fully encoded your asset. To do this, click on the dropdown menu on the specific asset where you can view the encoding status.
For more information on uploading assets and encoding read more here.
Compose and Stage your Narrative
In order to properly stage your content, you need to open the EEVO composer and specify how you want your assets to interact with each other. When you're satisfied with your progress, save and stage your composer session by clicking the file menu on the upper left corner and choosing "SAVE AND STAGE NARRATIVE" in order to push the session to our system.
For more information on creating linear and interactive narratives in our composer read more here.
Review and Release Your Narrative
Want to preview your work on an app? Make sure to click on the "Submit for Review" button on your dashboard. While a narrative is in review, it can be viewed on an application as long as the "Display all Narratives" is selected on the settings menu of the app. If you're satisfied with your narrative, click "Release" in order to make the narrative publicly available on your app!
